Jean Patchett is one of the most identifiable and famous models of the 1950s. She began modelling in 1948 at the age of 21 and these are some of her early modelling photos. I really like the photos of her from this time, she hasn’t yet developed that strong iconic look she developed in the 1950s with the sharp eyeliner and heavily outlined eyebrows and her natural prettiness really shines through. I particularly love the ‘high neck, low bosom’ photo below, which also shows off her famous beauty spot.
